Depending on your needs, we have 2 options for email that is fairly common among churches:

Google Apps Non Profit (Free, If Approved)

This is what many churches around the country are doing because it is such a great deal (free!). This keeps our servers free of email virus too since a lot ended up getting through and slowing down our servers. Among other things, you get shared 25GB of storage for email, documents, and shared calendars if you wish.

This checklist will help you in the process to get Google Apps for Nonprofit (which is your ultimate goal) http://support.google.com/a/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2858465 .   You will want to go through step 1 first and then step 2, as illustrated here: http://screencast.com/t/UE6qdIv9

Use your church domain name as the domain name to sign up under.

Somewhere along the way they will ask you to verify your account via an html file. Please send us that html file they want you to upload to the site. That is the first step in setting up your email.

Mychurchwebsite Mail (Paid, Low cost)

We offer full featured email services with full spam filtering for:

First 5 emails addresses:  $5/month flat fee
Additional email addresses: .60/month

These are different than the free emails that come with a webhost, as they have improved spam filtering and 5Gb of storage for each account. Once you give us the email addresses you want, we will set them up for you and send you the settings you can use for your mail clients.
