For more information, see these links for some supported encoders and video capture options for both PC and Mac. (Typically the PC options are a little less expensive.)
There are other encoding options that do not use a regular computer such as streaming hardware encoders or even a mobile option for encoding when you can’t have a whole recording system set up.
Mobile Options
The Wowza GoCoder is a mobile encoder for your iPhone or iPad that has a super simple setup and could work well in broadcasting from a remote location such as broadcasting a small group or Bible study from a smartphone. The GoCoder is currently in beta testing with our system and you can request to help test it by submitting a ticket. (Please be sure to include your church name/ID and allow up to a few days for the request to be processed and for the GoCoder to be enabled on your account.)
You can stream up to HD quality and also route sound system audio into the iPad/iPhone for very high quality broadcasts. Once you are setup in the beta test program you can get the settings at the GoCoder Settings page of our Live Video Stream Manager (Other Encoders > Mobile Encoders > GoCoder Settings). Additional setup details are covered in the help video on that page and further details can be found at the Wowza GoCoder setup info page.
